AB The discovery of plant fragments in the basal marine quartzites of the post-Hercynian cover at the locality of Mestas de Con (Asturias), which have been determined as Stephanian C or Autunian, allows dating the end of the Hercynian Orogenesis in the eastern Cantabrian Mountains as restricted to the time interval between late Stephanian B and Stephanian C-Autunian
AB El descubrimiento de fragmentos de plantas en las cuarcitas basales marinas de la cobertera posthercínica en la localidad de Mestas de Con (Asturias), identificadas como del Esefaniense C o del Autuniense, permite datar el fin de la Orogenia Hercínica en el este de la Cordillera Cantábrica en el intervalo entre el Estefaniense B tardío y el Estefaniense C-Autuniense.
