RT Journal Article T1 A sequential approach for distributed set-membership estimation to exploit redundant information A1 Orihuela Espina, Diego Luis AB This manuscript proposes a novel approach for the distributed set-membershipestimation of linear time-invariant plants. The method is based on sequentiallyexploiting the information that the agents receive from their neighbourhoodin an adequate manner, so that redundant information is not discarded, but used to further shrink the sets. To do so, they need to build theinnovation-routing table, which integrates routing information and conceptsof subspace observability. Then, sequential filtering steps are performed overthe sets that contain the different modes in which the state vector is locallydecomposed. The method is presented for sets described as zonotopesand takes advantage of the developments of well-known centralized zonotopicobservers. Simulation results show that the use of redundant information reducesthe uncertainty of the estimation, and the increment of computationalcost is minor. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the method with respect todifferent parameters is analyzed with numerical simulations and comparedto similar estimators in the literature.
