RT Conference Proceedings T1 Control of Series Active Power Filter by State Feedback A1 Pérez Litrán, Salvador A1 Salmerón Revuelta, Patricio A1 Sánchez Herrera, María Reyes A1 Rodríguez Vázquez, Jesús AB The active power filters in series connection orseries APF, are static compensation systems based on anelectronic converter PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Thesystematic use of series APFs in the power systems allows theelimination of the harmonics caused by specific loads namedvoltage source harmonic loads. To obtain this compensationobjective, several strategies have been proposed up now.Nevertheless, each strategy development has been based on theequivalent electrical circuit and on the results obtained insimulation and/or experimental tests. Generally, the controlstructure formal analysis is not carried out. In this work, thewhole system state model has been obtained. Besides, thesystem behavior has been analyzed from the state equations foreach compensation strategy. As a consequence, the analysis hasallowed the establishment of design rules respect to theresultant control strategy. Finally, a practical case is presented, whose results illustrate the proposed method.
