T1 Ciudadanía intercultural. Tres películas para reflexionar sobre una nueva ciudadanía

AB Un pleno ejercicio de la ciudadanía implicaconocer y comprender los grandesproblemas globales que enfrenta nuestrasociedad, para poder desarrollar unacapacidad de respuesta a los mismos, no solo libre yresponsable, sino técnica y científicamente fundada.Los flujos migratorios internacionales constituyen unode los principales retos y desafíos para las sociedadesindustriales avanzadas en general, y para la sociedadespañola en particular. Se trata, además, de un fenómenopara cuya comprensión integral es imprescindibleun abordaje interdisciplinar.Con la publicación multimedia «Ciudadanía Intercultural:materiales y propuestas desde la SociologíaVisual», desde el GIEMIC y el Laboratorio de SociologíaVisual se pretende contribuir a la divulgación ydifusión del conocimiento científico, en materia de migracionesinternacionales, interculturalidad y nuevasciudadanías, desde una perspectiva o enfoque empáticoy a través de los medios que nos proveen las imágenesfijas y en movimiento. Sobre estos temas -degran relevancia y repercusión social-, a menudo se fundanopiniones, actitudes y comportamientos socialesbasados en un conocimiento vulgar, prejuicios y estereotiposque no se corresponden con la realidadestudiada y analizada a la luz del conocimiento científico.Nuestro propósito es ofrecer un material deestudio y debate, que invite al diálogo, tan necesarioen la actualidad, sobre los Derechos de CiudadaníaUniversal que es el horizonte de futuro al que aspiramosllegar algún día, ojala no muy lejano
AB The display of a full-committed use of citizenship requires to know and understand the big global problems that our society has to confront, with the purpose of developing an answering mechanism (not only free and responsible, but with fundamentals and technical facilities). The international migratory movements constitute one of the biggest challenges for industrial societies in general, and specifically for the Spanish society. It is also a phenomenon for which integral comprehension is essential to make a multidisciplinary approachment. With the multimedia “Inter-cultural citizenship: materials and proposals from Visual Sociology”, from GIEMIC and the Visual Sociology Laboratory it is aimed to contribute to the spread and diffusion of scientific knowledge related to international migrations, interculturality and new citizenships, with an empathetic perspective using the resources that static images and videos provide us. Related to these topics -which have great importance and social repercussion-, mindsets are often formed, as well as attitudes and social behaviors based on ordinary knowledge, prejudges and stereotypes that do not correspond to the reality studied at the light of scientific knowledge. Our purpose is offering material apt for study and discussion, inviting to dialogue about the Universal Citizenship Rights – the horizon to the future we desire to reach someday, hopefully not far away.
