AB La imagen del mar como un lugar sagrado en el que los dioses podían ser favorables o desfavorables nació como consecuencia de los peligros a los que debían enfrentarse aquellos que debían hacerse a la mar. Este artículo tratará de mostrar que los navegantes expresaron su devoción a los dioses en algunos lugares, como el propio mar, con el fin de ganar su favor antes, durante y después de la travesía.________________________________The perception of the sea as asacred place of the gods who could befavourable or un favourable was theproduct of fear of the unknown andinherent dangers associated with thiseconomic activity. The present articledemonstrates that the marinersexpressed their devotion to the gods incertain sites, like the sea, in order togain their favour before, during andafter a voyage.
