AB El reconocimiento de las libertades de expresión y de prensa en lasDeclaraciones de Derechos y Constituciones estatales así como en laConstitución norteamericana refleja la presencia de una serie de fuentesideológicas que se habían gestando en el período colonial, caracterizaronal proceso revolucionario y que contribuyeron a la extinción del libelosedicioso del Common Law tras la aprobación de la Primera Enmienda,constituyendo la génesis del histórico proceso que contribuiría a otorgarlesignificado.
AB The acknowledgement of the freedom of speech and press in the Bill ofRights and states’ Constitutions as well as in the American Constitutionshows the presence of a strain of ideological fonts that had been originatedin the colonial period, characterized the revolutionary process and thatcontributed to the vanishing of the English common law of seditious libelafter the enactment of the First Amendment, representing the beginning ofthe historical process that would contribute to give his meaning.
