AB El presente trabajo trata de valorar la importancia de la divulgación de la ciencia a través de algunos de sus precursores, tanto españoles como de otros países. En España se hace periodismo científico desde los primeros decenios del siglo XX. Hoy las sociedades necesitan divulgadores procedentes de la ciencia, el periodismo o la docencia, pero las dificultades son grandes y falta gente preparada para abordar este desafío del siglo XXI. Uno de los problemas consiste en la formación de tales divulgadores.____________________________This paper tries to value the importance of science popularization through some of its forerunners, both Spanish and from other countries. There has been a Spanish scientific journalism since the first decades of the XXth century. Nowadays, the society needs who come from the scientific journalism or teaching fields, but there are great difficulties and there is a lack of people trained to take up this challenge of the XXth century. One of the prolems is the formation of these professionals.
