AB Este trabajo presenta sendas traduccionesinéditas de dos de las "Cartas poéticas" deRainer María Rilke realizadas por Emilio GómezOrbaneja y recuperadas, en los años 90, de losmateriales archivísticos de Dámaso Alonso porel autor del texto de ahora. Así mismo, se ofreceprimero un breve acercamiento al entorno literariode Gómez de Orbaneja, se incorporan, amodo de contextualización, algunas muestrasdel intercambio epistolar entre una de las hijasde Gómez de Orbaneja y el autor del trabajo, y sereferencian algunos de los materiales bibliográ-!cos consultados por este, así como las edicionesen español que manejó de Cartas a un joven poeta.Por último, se aporta la reproducción facsimilarde una de las traducciones que Gómez Orbanejadebió de enviar a Dámaso Alonso para su publicaciónen Los Cuatro Vientos. Esta presentaciónintroductoria pretende incitar a los estudiosos aprofundizar en el análisis de estas traducciones.
AB This paper reveals two unpublishedtranslations of two of Rainer Maria Rilke’s "PoeticLetters" made by Emilio Gómez Orbaneja,which were recovered, in the nineties from DamasoAlonso’s files by the autor of this paper+.In addition, a first brief approach to Gomez Orbaneja’sliterary setting is provided, some samplesof the epistolary exchange between one ofGómez de Orbaneja’s daughters and the autor ofthe paper are incorporated as a kind of contextualization,and some of the bibliographic worksconsulted by this last one are indexed, as wellas the editions in spanish of Letters to a YoungPoet which he worked with. Finally, the facsimilereproduction of one of the translations whichGómez Orbaneja should have sent to DamasoAlonso for his publication in Los Cuatro Vientosis provided. This preliminary introduction triesto encourage researchers to go deep into theanalysis of these translations.
