AB This work presents the design, developmentand the implementation of a motorizedinjection valve used in Flow InjectionAnalysis systems. The built prototype has beendeveloped based on the open hardware, software andfirmware, emergent philosophy thus helping thedevelopment of a free and independent science. Thispolicy creates a platform of open projects that feedeach other, contributing to scientific and technologicaldevelopment while sharing knowledge. The proposeddesign project can be modified to implant it in otherdevices or projects according to the needs of each one.Also, the open project can be a great help as teachingmaterial in Universities, since open hardware projectsare fully described and documented.
