RT Journal Article T1 Restos de elefante (Proboscidea, Mammalia) en el Pleístoceno de Obón (Cordillera Ibérica, Teruel) T1 Elefant (Proboscidea, Mammalia) remains in Pleistocene of Obón (Iberian Chain, Teruel) A1 Barco, J. L. A1 Cuenca Bescós, G. A1 Gutiérrez Santolalla, F. A1 Rubio, C. A1 Rubio Dobón, J. C. AB An elephant tusk has been found in a fluvial terrace of a small creek affluent of the Martin river. The tooth is slightly curved, almost round in section and becomes increasingly smaller towards the tip. The specimens measurements and morphology lead us to propose it as a task of the "wood elephant" of the Pleistocene of Europe: Paleoloxodon antiquus, probably of an adult male PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 2001 FD 2001 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/9720 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/9720 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 29 may 2026
