AB With this paper we intend to let you know part of a much longer researchwork with regard to the concept of the ideal matrona and her environment in Romanletters. We refer specifically to the domestic solitude of wives left alone by their husbandsin the marital homes. These husbands have set out to faraway lands to participatein different wars, several expeditions or to go into exile.
