T1 On the concept of political representation

AB En el presente texto se reflexiona acerca del concepto de re-presentación política. Se plantean, en un primer momento, las dificul-tades que conlleva la tarea de elaborar una teoría de la representación,tanto desde el punto de vista jurídico como político. Posteriormente, serealiza un análisis del concepto en dos momentos históricos esenciales:la Revolución francesa y la de los Estados Unidos de América. Por últi-mo, se estudian las relaciones entre el concepto de representación y elparlamentarismo.
AB In this work we reflect upon the concept of Political Represen-tation. First, the difficulties involved in the task of developing a Theoryof Representation are posed, both from the legal and political point ofviews. Next, we carry out an analysis of this notion in two key historicalmoments: namely, the French and American Revolutions. As a closure,we study the relationships between the concepts of Representation andParliamentary system.
