AB Se presenta en este trabajo una nueva inscripciónromana procedente, probablemente, del entornodel yacimiento de Arucci (San Mamés, Aroche,Huelva). Dicha inscripción se ha localizado en elcontexto del castillo reutilizada como material deacarreo en las fases de remodelación de la fortalezaa inicios del s. XIX, momento al que perteneceuna de sus últimas fases constructivas a gran escalaproducto de la construcción de la plaza de toros.El hallazgo de esta pieza supone un testimonioepigráfico más del rico ambiente aruccitano asícomo del proceso que históricamente ha sufridoel yacimiento, convertido en cantera de materialestras su desaparición en la Antigüedad Tardía hastaprácticamente el periodo contemporáneo.
AB In this work, a new Roman inscription ispresented, probably coming from the area aroundthe Arucci site (San Mamés, Aroche, Huelva). Thisinscription has been located in the context of thecastle, reused as carrying material in the remodelingphases of the fortress at the beginning of the 19thcentury, a time to which one of its last large-scaleconstruction phases belongs, resulting from theconstruction of the bullring. The discovery of thispiece represents further epigraphic testimony of therich Aruccian environment as well as the processthat the site has historically undergone, convertedinto a material quarry after its disappearance inLate Antiquity until practically the contemporaryperiod.
