A1 Sánchez Gómez, Mario AB In the central Betics, the Adra unit represents the higher unit of the Alpujarride complex. This unit is bounded by Miocene low-angle normal faults. The lithostratigraphic sequence of Adra unit includes, from bottom to top: dark schists with garnet, light coloured schists (Palaeozoic), phyllites (Permo-Triassic) and carbonated rocks (upper Triassic). North-vergent recumbent folds have been recognized within the unit. They affect the lithological boundaries, the metamorphic isogrades and the main foliation, this latter formed during a decompression, that is with an extensional character. These data suggest the alternance of contractional and extensional events during the tectonic evolution of the Alpujarride Complex PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 1996 FD 1996 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/12565 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/12565 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
