RT Journal Article T1 PARTONS: PARtonic Tomography Of Nucleon Software A1 Berthou, B. A1 Binosi, Daniele A1 Chouika, N. A1 Colaneri, L. A1 Rodríguez Quintero, José AB We describe the architecture and functionalitiesof a C++ software framework, coined PARTONS, dedicatedto the phenomenology of Generalized Parton Distributions. These distributions describe the three-dimensional structureof hadrons in terms of quarks and gluons, and can be accessedin deeply exclusive lepto- or photo-production of mesons orphotons. PARTONS provides a necessary bridge betweenmodels of Generalized Parton Distributions and experimentaldata collected in various exclusive production channels. We outline the specification of the PARTONS frameworkin terms of practical needs, physical content and numericalcapacity. This framework will be useful for physicists – theoristsor experimentalists – not only to develop new models, but also to interpret existing measurements and even designnew experiments.
