AB Este trabajo presenta el estudio de un afloramiento en la Subcuencade Galve donde se han reconocido dos discordancias angulares (D1 y D2)en el Jurásico Superior, en relación con la actividad de fallas normalessinsedimentarias. D1, de desarrollo local, se encuentra en la parte alta dela Formación Villar del Arzobispo y no tuvo asociado un cambio sedimentario significativo en la unidad. D2, de mayor extensión, representa elcontacto de esta unidad con la Formación Aguilar del Alfambra suprayacente (parte media del Titoniense a Berriasiense medio) y supuso unimportante cambio en la evolución sedimentaria a escala regional. Eldesarrollo espacial de las discordancias ha sido relacionado con laimpronta que la tectónica extensional tuvo en la evolución sedimentarialocal y regional de la subcuenca. La discordancia D2 y el importante cambio sedimentario asociado apoyan la separación de ambas unidadesdentro de la Formación Villar del Arzobispo originalmente definida
AB This work presents the study of an outcrop in the Galve Subbasin where twoangular unconformities (D1 and D2) within the Upper Jurassic have beenrecognized. They are in relation to the activity of synsedimentary normal faults. TheD1 angular unconformity, with a very local development, is located at the upperpart of the Villar del Arzobispo Formation, and it did not represent a significantsedimentary change within the unit. The D2 angular unconformity, of greaterextension, represents the sedimentary contact of this unit with the recently definedAguilar del Alfambra Formation (mid-Tithonian to mid-Berriasian in age age). Itsupposed and important change in the sedimentary evolution on a regional scale.The spatial development of the angular unconformities has been related with theimprint of the extensional tectonics on the local and regional sedimentary evolutionof the subbasin. The D2 unconformity and the important sedimentary changeassociated with it support the separation of both units within the originally definedVillar del Arzobispo Formation
