AB La trayectoria intelectual y como economista de Sampedro permite preguntarcuáles serían para él los rasgos de una Economía en el siglo XXI. A partirde esta idea se revisa el papel de la Economía como ciencia social, al tiempoque se identifican los grandes problemas de este tiempo así como las escuelasde pensamiento que pueden ayudar a tratarlos. Con estos mimbres se establecenlos ejes de un programa de investigación que debería inspirar el quehacerde una Economía que fuera capaz de reorientar su foco hacia contenidos sustantivos,articulados con el entorno natural, con el tejido social y productivo,menos obnubilada por la mera factura formal de las investigaciones
AB Sampedro’s intelectual trajectory and work as an economist allows us toask ourselves about what would be for him the traits of an Economics disciplinefor the 21st century. Starting from here, the role of Economics as a social scienceis reviewed, while identifying the main problems of our time as well as theschools of thought that can help us to address them. With these ingredientsare established the main axes of a research program that could inspire the taskof an Economics discipline capable of reorienting its focus towards substantialcontents, being environmentally, socially and productively articulated, and lessclouded by the mere formal registration of the investigations
