T1 Motril-Salobreña aquifer water balance: Previous studies and estimation by numerical modelling

AB Motril-Salobreña aquifer has been exhaustively monitored from 2001 to 2007 and with the new data a flow model with MODFLOW was developed. The water balance has been established for each one of the last 6 years. During this time several important changes happened in the aquifer associated with the anthropic activity. The ana/ys/s of the new water balance and the comparison with the older ones carried out by different researchers allow us to quantify the main recharges sources to the aquifer and the impact ofthe modifications in the naturalsystem due to the human actions
