AB This article examines critical opinions on Lope's poetry during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries (in theoretical writings and paratexts of the editions). In them, the very positive evaluation ofLa Gatomaquia and the poems of the Rimas de Tomé de Burguillos stands out compared to the verynegative opinion about theJerusalén conquistada
