RT Journal Article T1 Caracterización hidrogeoquímica preliminar de las aguas subterráneas del acuífero carbonático de la Sierra de Aracena (Huelva) T1 Preliminary hydrochemical characterization of the carbonate aquifer of Aracena Mountain Range (Huelva) A1 Martos Rosillo, Sergio A1 Bros Miranda, T. A1 Rodríguez Rodríguez, Miguel A1 Moral Martos, Francisco AB The groundwater resources of the aquifer of the Aracena mountain range (Huelva) are being studied indetail by the Spanish Geological Survey. In these studies the hydrochemistry plays a pivotal role andcontributes to validate the hypotheses of hydrogeological functioning based on hydrodynamic data. Severalsampling campaigns have been made to characterize the groundwater from a hydrochemical point ofview and, later, to define the processes of hydrochemical modification that takes place in the direction ofthe groundwater flow. In this work the spatial distribution of the main water-types is analyzed and asynthesis of the groundwater functioning of the Aracena aquifer is made. The foremost presence of calciumand calcium - magnesium bicarbonate water-types, the low partial pressures of CO2 and the sub-saturationof the water with respect to calcite and dolomite minerals are the most remarkable features of thehydrochemistry of the Aracena aquifer YR 2008 FD 2008 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8236 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8236 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
