T1 The liberal falangism and the spanish transition (I)

AB La trayectoria del Falangismo Liberal nos plantea cuestionesque trascienden su propia historia. Así, analizaremos si hubo una opo-sición al franquismo nacida desde el propio seno del régimen o por elcontrario ésta sólo fue posible desde posiciones socialistas y comunistas;si la tradición liberal-ilustrada-moderna española se interrumpió con ladictadura o por el contrario permaneció latente bajo la cobertura de losmiembros del citado grupo; y si hay una continuidad evolutiva entre la ac-tual monarquía parlamentaria y la dictadura o por el contrario hubo unaruptura real. Por decirlo de otra forma, si el hiato fue la II República o ladictadura. Para profundizar en estas cuestiones analizaremos los diversossentidos que ha ido cobrando con el tiempo la expresión “FalangismoLiberal”. Así, estudiaremos el Falangismo Liberal como fascismo, comoaperturismo, como liberalismo, como impostura, como revisionismo deizquierdas y como memoria. El presente trabajo es el primero de los dosartículos que dedicaremos al tema.
AB The path of the Liberal Falangism raises questions that come outhis own history. This way, we will analyze if there was an opposition to theFranco’s regime born from the own bosom of the regime or on the contrarythis one only was possible from socialist and communist positions; if theliberal-enlightenment-modern Spanish tradition was interrupted by thedictatorship or on the contrary it remained latent under the coverage ofthe members of the mentioned group; and if there is an evolutionary con-tinuity between the current parliamentary monarchy and the dictatorshipor on the contrary there was a royal break. For saying it of another form, ifthe hiatus was the Republic II or the dictatorship. To penetrate into thesequestions we will analyze the diverse senses that there has been receivingwith the time the expression “Liberal Falangism”. This way, we will studythe Liberal Falangismo as fascism, as policy of opening-up, as liberalism,as deceit, as revisionism of left and as memory.
