T1 Naturaleza del héroe en la novela de M. Barrès

AB This article seeks to determine and define the nature of the hero ormain character in M. Barres' narrative work. Analysis begins with severaltexts revealing the development of the author's ideology. In light ofthese texts, one sees how characters show the existence of an individualconflict, represented by action and in thought. This opposition standsrelated, in turn, to two features of Barres' novels: the character's love forhis mother country or region and capacity for action. Both options aretypical of novels written at the end of the 19th century.
AB Este artículo busca determinar y definir la naturaleza del héroe o personaje protagonista en el trabajo narrativo de M. Barres. El análisis comienza con varios textos que muestran el desarrollo de la ideología del autor. A la luz de estos textos, se puede ver cómo los personajes muestran la presencia de un conflicto individual, representado por acciones y pensamientos. Está oposición se muestra en dos características de las novelas de Barres: el amor del personaje por su país o región materna, y su capacidad de acción. Ambas opciones son típicas de las novelas escritas al final del siglo XIX.
