AB Este trabajo pretende analizar el papel de las bibliotecas universitarias (BU)dentro de la Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (RSU) de las universidades. Sedetallan sus contribuciones más importantes a este ámbito derivado inicialmente delmundo empresarial, con un estudio específico aplicado a la Universidad de Huelva(España). Finalmente, se detectan posibles áreas en las que las BU pueden realizaraportaciones futuras a la RSU.
AB This paper analyzes the role of university libraries within the SocialResponsibility of the universities (RSU). Their most important contributions to this areawere detailed, with a specific study applied to the University of Huelva (Spain). Finally,it is possible to identify different areas in which the university libraries can make futurecontributions to the RSU.
