AB Questa indagine territoriale è stata concepitaper interpretare le relazioni e le trasformazioniintercorse tra ambiente marino, lagunare e costierodalla protostoria all’età storica. Per ottenereuna conoscenza sistematica delle modalità diinsediamento in vari ambiti geografici nei diversiperiodi, sono state esaminate delle aree campioneda sottoporre a ricognizioni sistematiche sulterreno e subacquee, che, partendo da San Giovanniin Sinis, in direzione Nord-Est, toccano la lagunadi Mistras, delimitando un’area di circa 12 Km2.L’interpretazione delle informazioni contenutenelle fotografie aeree insieme allo studio delmateriale archeologico è stata significativa, perindividuare le fasi più intense di frequentazione equelle di abbandono degli insediamenti costieri
AB This territorial investigation has been conceivedto interpret the relationships and transformationsthat took place between the marine, lagoon andcoastal environments from the prehistoric tothe historical periods. To obtain a systematicunderstanding of the types of settlements in thedifferent periods examinations were made ofsample areas to be later surveyed both on land andunderwater starting from San Giovanni di Sinisgoing north east and touching the Mistras lagoon todelimit an area of about 12 km. The interpretationof the aerial photographic information alongsidethe study of the archaeological material has beenimportant to understand the most intense phasesof use and abandonment of the coastal settlements
