AB En este artículo se propone en primerlugar una revisión de las alusiones rela-tivas al fin del mundo insertas en textosfunerarios y mágicos de diferentes épocas.Se analiza el contenido, contexto e impli-caciones de estas referencias escatológicas.Después se aborda la caracterización de laciudad de Heracleópolis Magna como lugaren que se produce el levantamiento dedioses y humanos contra el dios creador yel posterior aniquilamiento de éstos. Partiendode ideas formuladas por M. Smithy M. Kemboly sobre el ciclo mítico solar yaplicadas por estos investigadores a otrosrelatos de rebelión contra la autoridad divina,se plantea una nueva interpretaciónde los argumentos míticos de destrucciónheracleopolitanos: u contrapunto se encuentraen el reforzamiento del poder deldios Sol, que vence a sus enemigos y asumela soberanía en la propia HeracleópolisMagna
AB In this article I bring forward a reviewof the allusions related to the endof the world inserted in funerary andmagic texts belonging to different period. I analyze the content, context andthe implications of these mythologicalreferences. Then I explore the character-ization of Heracleopolis Magna as a placewhere the uprising of gods and humansagainst the creator god and their subsequentannihilation occurred. Building onideas of M. Smith and M. Kemboly aboutthe solar mythical cycle and applied bythese scholars to other compositions centeredon the rebellion against the divineauthority, I suggest a new interpretationfor the mythical Heracleopolitan argumentsof destruction: their counterpointcan be found in the perpetuation of therule of the Sun god, who defeats his enemiesand assumes sovereignty in HeracleopolisMagna
