AB La trata de personas ha sido recientemente abordada legalmente. En el año2000, las Naciones Unidas adoptaron el Protocolo de Palermo. A nivel nacional, Méxicofortaleció su marco legal aceptando la jurisdicción de la Corte Penal Internacional ymejorando su sistema de ombudsman alrededor de la adopción de dicho protocolo. AB Human trafficking has been recently addressed legally. In the year 2000,the United Nations adopted the Palermo Protocol. At the national level, Mexico strengthened its legal framework by accepting thejurisdiction of the International CriminalCourt and improving its ombudsman systemaround the adoption of said protocol. National laws were enacted to prevent and punish human trafficking. The aim of this articleis to answer the question of whether humantrafficking constitutes a violation of humanrights, a crime, or both
