AB Apresenta-se o conjunto da cerâmica pintada dasegunda metade do I milénio a.n.e. exumada duranteos trabalhos de escavação realizados no Castelode Castro Marim entre 1983-1988 e 2001-2003.Com base na análise formal, produtiva e estilísticado conjunto estudado, discute-se ainda a integraçãocultural, económica e política da antiga Baesurisem época pré-romana, e em particular a sua relação– e a do território algarvio em geral – com Gadir.
AB In this paper we present the painted potteryfrom the second half of the first millennium BCErecovered during the excavations undertaken inthe Castle of Castro Marim between 1983-1988 and2001-2003. Based on the formal, productive andstylistic analysis of these pieces, we discuss also thecultural, economic and politic integration of ancientBaesuris in pre-roman times, and especiallyits relation – and more broadly that of the Algarveregion – with Gadir.
