AB El artículo establece una análisis comparativo entre el nacionalismoespañol y francés, indagando en las diferencias y los puntos deconexión. Lógicamente los vectores de la comparación son el País vasco yCataluña, por parte de España, y Córcega y Bretaña por parte de Francia. Interesante la aportación de rasgos que asemejan el nacionalismo vascoal nacionalismo bretón, que sufrió un gran revés tras la segunda guerramundial por su colaboracionismo con los nazis. Analiza la relación entrenacionalismo y economía, desvelando cómo la ideología nacionalista hasupuesto un apoyo al desarrollo económico en Bretaña. El panorama delfuturo del nacionalismo, tanto en España como en Francia, se muestraincierto, teniendo en cuenta los factores de la evolución demográfica y elfenómeno de la inmigración creciente, que pueden afectar al alcance delas ideologías nacionalistas
AB This article sets out a comparative analysis between the French and Spanishnationalism by looking into the differences and similarities existing between theBasque Country and Catalonia on the one hand and Corsica and Bretagne on the other.While Bretonne nationalism was largely compromised by its collaboration with theNazi authorities during the Second World War, its comparison with Basque Nationalismoffers some interesting findings. Studying the link between nationalism and economydoes also reveal how the nationalist ideology has spurred Bretagne’s economic growth.The coming nationalism scenario present us with many uncertainties related to demographicevolution and growing immigration. These might affect the scope of thedifferent nationalist ideologies in both countries.
