AB La formación investigativa es un proceso sistematizado que involucra prácticas y actores diversos en laadquisición y desarrollo de competencias de investigación. El objetivo del artículo es explicar la fundamentación teórica,diseño y validación un instrumento de medición en Instituciones de Educación Superior Veracruzanas. Dentro del presentese describe lo siguiente: 1) La introducción del documento; 2) El estado del arte sobre las competencias de investigaciónde los estudiantes en educación superior y su participación en las actividades relacionadas con la investigación; 3) Diseñodel instrumento con su respectiva matriz de operacionalización; 4) Validación del instrumento propuesto, que incluye supiloteo y juicio por expertos. Durante el proceso de validación participaron 74 estudiantes universitarios voluntarios dediversos semestres. Los materiales utilizados fueron: formatos de consentimiento, así como un cuestionarioautoadministrado diseñado en google forms. Como parte de los resultados, se confirmó la fundamentación, diseño, validezde contenido y confiabilidad del instrumento de medición. Para fortalecer el instrumento se propone una segunda pruebapiloto
AB Research training is a systematized process that involves diverse practices and actors in the acquisitionand development of research skills. The objective of the article is to explain the theoretical foundation, design andvalidation of a measuring instrument in Veracruzanas Higher Education Institutions. The following describes: 1) Theintroduction of the document; 2) The state of the art on the research competencies of students in higher education andtheir participation in research-related activities; 3) Design of the instrument with its respective operationalization matrix;4) Validation of the proposed instrument, which includes its piloting and trial by experts. During the validation process, 74voluntary university students from different semesters participated. The materials used were: consent formats, as well asa self-administered questionnaire designed in google forms. As part of the results, the rationale, design, content validity andreliability of the measuring instrument were confirmed. To strengthen the instrument, a second pilot test is proposed
