RT Journal Article T1 Extensión mesozoica e inversión compresiva terciaria en la Cadena Ibérica: aportaciones a partir del análisis de un perfil gravimétrico T1 Mesozoic extension and Tertiary compressive inversion in the Iberian Chain: Results from the analysis of a gravity profile A1 Guimerà, J. A1 Salas, Ramón A1 Vergés, Jaume A1 Casas Sainz, Antonio AB The eastern part of Iberia underwent extension during the Mesozoic and, as a result, intraplate basins were formed. These basins were inverted during the Tertiary giving rise to the Iberian Chain thrust belt. The analysis of a crustal section transverse to the Iberian Chain is presented; this section is based on a gravimetric model, and an area conservation through it is asumed. From this analysis a Mesozoic extension of 47 km and a Tertiary shortening of 75 km is estimated PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 1996 FD 1996 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/13216 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/13216 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
