T1 Desigualdad de género en el mercado laboral : análisis comparativo de Andalucía y Yucatán

AB Las mujeres hemos alcanzado transcendentalesavances en el mercado laboral. Nuestrastasas de actividad y de ocupación se han incrementadoconsiderablemente, nos hemos situadoen sectores en los que no había presenciafemenina, etc. Sin embargo, aún quedan pendientesdesafíos trascendentales. Las tasas deparo aún son bastante superiores a las masculinas;somos mayoría en el tiempo parcial ylas principales responsables de la conciliaciónfamiliar, con las limitaciones que ello supone enla esfera laboral; tenemos salarios más bajos ymayores dificultades a la hora de promocionarlaboralmente, etc. En este trabajo nos centramosen dos regiones concretas: Andalucía yYucatán. Estas regiones presentan singularidadesen sus respectivos países (España y Mé-xico) que las hacen interesantes a la hora decontrastar la situación del empleo femenino ylas situaciones de desigualdad existente en losmercados de trabajo de ambos territorios.
AB Women have achieved significant progressesin the labor market. Our activity rates andemployment have increased considerably; wehave located in sectors where there were nofemale presence, etc. However, there are stilloutstanding critical challenges. Unemploymentrates are still considerably higher than male; weare majority in part-time and primarily responsiblefor family reconciliation, with the limitationsthat this implies in the workplace; we have lowerwages and greater difficulties in promoting inlabor, and so on. In this paper we focus on twospecific regions: Andalusia and Yucatan. Theseregions have peculiarities in their respectivecountries (Spain and Mexico) that make theminteresting to contrast the situation of women’semployment and situations of inequality in thelabor markets of both territories.
