T1 Geological map of Lagunas de Campillos Natural Reserve. Hydrochemistry and hydrological dynamics

AB In Campillos (Málaga, Spain) there exist a series of wet playas protected as Natural Reserves. The salinityand hydrochemical characteristics of the water of these playas are related to the lithology of their basins.The detailed geological mapping on the periphery of the protected area and the analyses of severalhydrological and hydrochemical indicators has allowed us to establish the hydrological dynamics of thissystem. Infiltration is produced over the neogene and paleogene materials outcropping on a hill in thecentre of the system; ground water recharge on the different playas constitutes an important fraction ofthe hydrological balance depending on the season
