T1 Multiculturalism, Islam and Jihadism in Europe: analysis of their multiculturalpolicies

AB Las políticas multiculturales implantadas en Europa para acomodar a las diferentesexpresiones culturales en el marco ético, jurídico y social de sus sociedades, han puesto demanifiesto el desafío que conllevan cuando toman como actor de su programación al islam. Buenaparte de la opinión pública entiende que estas políticas han fracasado, y que en ciertos aspectosprecipitan estrategias propias del fenómeno yihadista; para otros sectores sociales, la respuesta alhecho social de la multiculturalidad no puede tener otro significado que el de proteger, hasta uncierto límite, las expresiones de la cultura islámica. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar la fuerzaargumental de ambas dialécticas con una metodología comparativa entre ambas, cuyo resultadoalcanza a otorgar mayor justicia y solidez al razonamiento que esgrimen quienes ven en elmulticulturalismo uno de los indicadores de la calidad democrática de una sociedad, además derechazar de plano su alineamiento con aquella fenomenología criminal
AB Multicultural policies implemented in Europe to accommodate different culturalexpressions in the ethical, legal and social framework of their societies, have made clear thechallenge involved taking as an actor in its programming to islam. Much of the public understandsthat these policies have failed, and that in some ways they precipitated strategies of the jihadistphenomenon; for other social sectors, the response to the social fact of multiculturalism cannot haveanother meaning that the project, up to a certain limit, the expressions of Islamic culture. The aimof this article is to present both dialectical argument strength with a comparative methodologybetween the two, whose result achieves to grant greater justice and solidity to the reasoning putforward those who see in the multiculturalism one of the indicators of the quality of democracy ofa society, in addition to reject drawing their alignment with the criminal phenomenology
