RT Conference Proceedings T1 Development and continuous spectroscopi campaign in the framework of the Spanish meteor network A1 Salas, I. A1 Madiedo Gil, José María A1 Trigo Rodríguez, Josep María A1 Ortiz Moreno, José Luis A1 Castro Tirado, Alberto J. A1 Cabrera Caño, Jesús AB One of the aims of the SPanish MeteorNetwork (SPMN) is the study of the chemicalcomposition of meteoroids from the analysis of theemission spectrum produced when these particles ablatein the atmosphere. Besides, these spectra provideuseful information about the mechanisms that controlthis ablation process and also about the chemical natureof the parent bodies of meteoroid streams [1, 2, 3,4]. For this reason, a significant part of our effort hasfocused on the deployment of spectrographs at ourmeteor observing stations. The first of these devices, which were based on high-sensibility CCD video camerasendowed with holographic diffraction gratings, started operation in 2006 from our station in Sevillaand also from the mobile station at Cerro Negro. Thefirst of these stations is performing since that year acontinuous spectroscopic campaign. Nowadays, thesespectral video cameras work continuously from 8SPMN stations. Favourable weather conditions inSpain play a key role in the successful development ofthis continuous spectroscopic campaign. We presenthere a description of our systems together with somepreliminary results we have obtained so far.
