AB This work presents Palaeoceanographer as a new computer tool that we designed for palaeoceanographicstudies. However, the software utility can be also extended to other scientific areas in which the aim is tocarry out a similarity multivariant analysis between cases, or the assignment of characteristics to sampleson the basis of a calibration set. The computer application analyzes the proximity between samples bymeans of distance algorithms. Different options allow to select among the utilities offering the program,the mathematical operators of similarity and the number of cases to consider
