The U(5) symmetry is preserved in a segment of the spectrum and is broken in particular nonyrast states, and the resulting mixing with the intruder states is small. The vibrational character is thus maintained in the majority of low-lying normal states as observed in Cd110}, organization = {This work was supported, in part, (A.L. and N.G.) by the Israel Science Foundation (Grant No. 586/16) and (J.E.G.-R.) by the Spanish Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad and the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) under Project No. FIS2014-53448-C2-2-P and by Consejeria de Economia, Innovacion, Ciencia y Empleo de la Junta de Andalucia (Spain) under Groups FQM-370.}, publisher = {American Physical Society}, title = {Quadrupole phonons in the cadmium isotopes}, doi = {10.1103/PhysRevC.98.031302}, author = {Leviatan, A. and Gavrielov, N. and García Ramos, José Enrique and Van Isacker, P.}, }
