AB En Ecuador, con la aprobación de la constituciónen 2008, se ha impulsado la consecución delfin del buen vivir (Sumak Kawsay), fijando comoobjetivo establecer un sistema económico acordea sus principios, incorporando entre sus prioridadesel fomento de la economía social.El objetivo del trabajo es conocer si las preferenciasde la ciudadanía están alineadas con las delgobierno. Para ello se recurre al análisis de los presupuestosparticipativos en Ecuador, como herramientaque permite conocer las preferencias de laciudadanía. Concretamente se realizan tres estudiosde caso representativos de las distintas regiones naturalesde Ecuador: Quito, Guayaquil y Sucumbíos.Como principales resultados destacar que laspreferencias de la ciudadanía en Ecuador coincidenen gran medida con el objetivo del gobiernode fomentar a la economía social. Sin embargo, sepueden distinguir tres modelos diferentes de presupuestosparticipativos, que se traducen en resultadosdistintos
AB In Ecuador, with the approval of the constitutionin 2008, the achievement of the endof good living (Sumak Kawsay) has been promoted,setting the objective of establishing aneconomic system in accordance with its principles,incorporating among its priorities thepromotion of the social economy.The objective of the work is to know if thepreferences of the citizens are aligned with thoseof the government. For this, the analysis of participatorybudgets in Ecuador is used, as a toolthat allows knowing the preferences of citizens.Specifically, three representative case studies ofthe different natural regions of Ecuador are carriedout: Quito, Guayaquil and Sucumbíos.As main results, it should be noted that thepreferences of citizens in Ecuador largely coincidewith the government's objective of promotingthe social economy.
