T1 Priya Shakti : un cómic que ayuda al cambio cultural con perspectiva de género

AB Priya Shakti nace como un homenaje a JyotiSingh Pandey, Nirbhaya como le llamaronen los medios de comunicación, la jovenhindú estudiante de medicina de 23 añosque fue brutalmente golpeada con una barra de hierroy luego violada por varios hombres en un bus deNueva Delhi, en diciembre de 2012Priya´s Shakti es un proyecto transmedia hindú quea través del cómic muestra historias reales y los problemascon los que se encuentran las mujeres supervivientesde agresiones sexuales en la India. A partirde esas historias dibujadas y convertidas a vecesen cine animado, las mujeres hacen oír su propia voz.El cómic da voz a estas mujeres y ayuda remover lasbases del hinduismo rescatando al recuerdo sus raícesmatriarcales.A través de estos relatos gráficos dirigidos a todotipo de personas, fundamentalmente adolescentes, seaborda la violencia de género y se incide en la visiónque tiene la sociedad India sobre el papel de la mujer.Intenta combatir, mediante la educación, los ataquessexuales contra mujeres.
AB Priya Shakti is born as a tribute for Jyoti Singh Pandey, or “Nirbhava”, as the media called her. She was a young medicine student that was brutally assaulted with an iron bar and raped by several men inside a New Deli bus, in December 2012. Priya Shakti is an Hindi transmedia project that narrates true stories through comic, as well as the problems that the female survivors of sexual assault have to face in India. Women speak with their own voices through these animated stories. The comics help with removing Hinduism’s oppressing bases, trying to bring back its matriarchal roots. These testimonies are oriented to people from all kind, specially teenagers, with the purpose of approaching the gender violence issue. It analyses the role of women in India’s society. This project aims to fight sexual assaults through education.
