AB El Santuario de Cancho Roano es quizás el hallazgo más importante de la arqueología actual en España. Puede demostrar la presencia de elementos fenicios en el interior peninsular, y demuestra una actividad cultural y mercantil indudablemente influida por lo orientalizante. Su presencia arroja luz en el proceso de transformación de las sociedades periféricas a Tarteso, y su destrucción, intencionada, se relaciona con el final de una cultura y el comienzo de un tipo de cultura diferente, que ya no necesitaba de estos santuarios. Se puede poner en la línea del de Cástulo, de mucha menos importancia arquitectónica.___________________________The shrine at Cancho Roano perhaps is the main archaeological record actually inSpain. A real presence of phoenician traders may be proved by this element, which demonstratea real religious and trade activity determinated by oriental influence. It givesinformation about the change of the hinterland of Tarteso, and its destroying, deliberated,deals whit the end of one type of behaviour and the beggining of another differentone, which needn't of this type of sacred places. It could be seen in the same line ofCastulo's one, a lot inferior in the architectural point of view.
