T1 A I Idade do Ferro na alcáçova de Santarém (Portugal): Os resultados de campanha de 2001

AB As escavações realizadas, em 2001, na Alcáçovade Santarém (Portugal) permitiram identificaruma extensa diacronia de ocupação que se inicioudurante os momentos finais da Idade do Bronze eque se prolongou até à actualidade. Neste trabalho,pretende-se apresentar os dados relativos ao períodosidérico que, de acordo com os materiais recuperados(ânforas, cerâmica de engobe vermelho, cinzenta,pintada, comum e manual), se terá iniciado emtorno a finais do século VIII / inícios do séculoVII a.n.e., estendendo-se até momentos avançadosdo século VI a.n.e. A evolução da cultura materialrecolhida durante esta intervenção permitiuavaliar, sequencialmente, o impacto da chegada dosprimeiros agentes fenício-ocidentais no quadro dastradições autóctones da comunidade que habitoua Alcáçova de Santarém durante a 1ª metade do 1ºmilénio a.n.e.
AB Excavations carried out in 2001, in Alcáçova ofSantarem (Portugal) have identified an extensivediachronic occupation that began during the LateBronze Age and lasted until nowadays. In thiswork, we intend to present the data concerningthe Iron Age occupation that, according to theassociated materials (amphorae, red slipware,gray ware, painted ware, common ware andhandmade productions), started during the late8th/ early 7th century BCE. and lasted until thelate 6th century BCE. The evolution of materialculture, collected during this intervention, allowto evaluate, sequentially, the impact of the arrivalof the first Western Phoenicians in the context ofthe indigenous traditions of the community thatinhabited Alcáçova de Santarém during the 1st halfof the 1st millennium BCE.
