AB En este trabajo se presentan los resultados preliminares de un estudiopaleomagnético, en sedimentos mesozoicos del corte Midelt-Errachidia enel Alto Atlas marroquí. La magnetización remanente natural está dominadapor una remagnetización que presenta un comportamiento muy estable conpolaridad normal. Utilizando el método de intersección de círculos menoreshemos calculado la dirección de la magnetización secundaria (D = 336,7°,I = 30,6°). La comparación de la dirección característica de la remagnetizacióncon la curva de deriva polar aparente global (GAPWP) en coordenadasafricanas para el norte de Africa, ha permitido asignar una edad Cenomaniensea la remagnetización (~100 M.a.), similar a la obtenida en otrasregiones del Alto Atlas Central. Este trabajo refuerza la hipótesis de queexiste una remagnetización generalizada en el Alto Atlas marroquí
AB We present the preliminary results of a paleomagnetic study, in Mesozoicsediments of the Midelt-Errachidia transect in the Moroccan High Atlas. TheNatural Remanent Magnetization is dominated by a remagnetization with avery stable behavior and systematic normal polarity, previously observed ina westward region of the Central High Atlas. Using the small circleintersection method we have calculated the direction of this secondarymagnetization (D = 336.7°, I = 30.6°). Comparing this direction with theGlobal Apparent Polar Wander Path (APWP) in African coordinates forNorthern Africa we can assign a Cenomanian age (about 100 M.a.) to thisremagnetization, similar to that obtained in other regions of the Central HighAtlas. This work enhances the hypothesis that there is a widespreadremagnetization in the Moroccan High Atlas
