T1 Crisis y empleo : del mercado de trabajo al modelo económico

AB La actual crisis ha situado las cuestiones laborales en el centro del debate, por undoble motivo. Por un lado, porque la crisis está resultando particularmente intensaen sus efectos sobre el empleo, al tiempo que éstos se prevén como más persistentes.Por otro lado, porque para algunos analistas y responsables políticos es en elmercado laboral donde se encuentran las principales soluciones a la situaciónactual. Se analizarán las múltiples causas de la crisis, evidenciando que las másrelevantes se encuentran en el ámbito del modelo económico: especialización productivay distribución de la renta. Las respuestas a la crisis deben centrarse, portanto, en este modelo antes que en las reformas del mercado laboral._________________________________________________The current crisis has put the labour aspects on the centre of debate because oftwo aspects. On the one hand, because the crisis is being particularly severe on employment and, probably, this negative impact will continue on the future. Onthe other hand, because for some analysts and politicians it is in the labourmarket where is possible to find the main solutions to the present situation. In thispaper we will analyse several causes of the crisis, pointing out that the most significantare related with the economic model: productive specialization and incomedistribution. The answers to the current crisis must focus, therefore, on thismodel and not in labour market reforms.
