AB In this article, we analyze the geopoliticamsituation of the province of Huelva and thearticulation of power in this territory, focussingspecially on the period between the Middle Agesand 1833. On this time-lapse, the current systemof provinces was defnitively confgured andthe social and political conditions that markedthe historical evolution of the peripheral andborder área of the former kingdom of Sevillethat today make up the province of Huelva
