AB El incunable de la Biblioteca ApostolicaVaticana, Inc. II 10, de la edición de Roma[Sweynheym & Pannartz], 1472 (GW058863; ISTC ic00018000) conserva unascorrecciones inéditas del humanista GabrieleFaerno (1510-1561) en los siete libros de BellumGallicum de autoría de Julio César. Elpropósito de este artículo es, tras el estudiocompleto de estas anotaciones, ofrecer unamuestra de la casuística encontrada, analizarsu valor crítico, clarificar las fuentesmanuscritas, impresas o conjeturas de otroscomentaristas utilizados por el humanista,y precisar su influencia en la historia críticadel texto. Aunque este erudito elaboró unvalioso número de conjeturas para el BellumGallicum, algunas de ellas admitidasen la actualidad en el Corpus Caesarianum,argumentaremos como las anotacionesdel incunable han sido esencialmentedesconocidas por la crítica posterior
AB The incunabulum of the Biblioteca ApostolicaVaticana, Inc.II 10 of the Rome edition[Sweynheym & Pannartz], 1472 (GW058863; ISTC ic00018000) keeps unpublishedcorrections by the humanist GabrieleFaerno (1510-1561) written in the sevenbooks of Caesar’s Bellum Gallicum. Theaim of this article, after the exhaustive studyof these annotations, is to offer a sampleof the case studies found, to discuss theircritical value, to clarify the manuscriptsources, printed books and other humanists’conjectures used by Faerno, and tospecify their influence on the critical historyof the text. Even though this scholarmade a great number of conjectures for theBellum Gallicum, some of them currentlyadmitted in the Corpus Caesarianum, wewill argue that the annotations in the incunabulumhave been essentially ignored bylater critics
