T1 The Great Middle East the Arab Spring: opportunity or challenge?

AB Su ubicación geoestratégica privilegiada, puente entre tres continentes,centro de las tres religiones, con los canales marítimos más importantes delmundo como Suez, Hormuz (el 45% de la energía mundial que se consumea diario navegan por él), y sus abundantes fuentes de energía (el 67% de lasreservas mundiales), han hecho del mundo árabe un ancestral objeto de codiciapor parte de las potencias occidentales. Y lo seguirá siendo, a pesar de losreiterados intentos por ocultarlo cada vez más bajo distintos velos, tales comoel Proyecto del Gran Oriente Medio. Esto ha provocado que la zona irrumpa enuna acusada debacle política, económica, social y cultural, que ha conducidoal ser humano árabe a rebelarse -las revueltas árabes- ante la injusticia de lasituación que padece y en su búsqueda por una vida más digna. Por tanto, estasmareas de revueltas pueden significar el alba de un ansiado cambio, o sertan sólo las primeras manifestaciones de dicho proyecto, que no persigue otroobjetivo que estancar todavía más a la zona en el retraso y la división
AB Its privileged geostrategic situation, bridge between three continents,center of the three religions, the most important sea channels of the world suchas Suez, Hormuz (45% of the global energy consumed daily sailing by it), andits abundant sources of energy (67% of the world reserves) have converted theArab world into an ancestral object of desire for the western powers. And it willcontinue being it, despite the attempts to hide it under different veils, such asthe Greater Middle East Project. This has provoked that the area is entering intoan accused political, economic, social and cultural debacle which has forcedArab beings to rebel -Arab revolts- against the injustice of the situation whenthey are suffering and seeking for a better life. Therefore, these tides of revoltscan mean the dawn of a long-awaited change, or just be the first manifestationsof the mentioned project which aim is to make the area sinking deeperinto the under developing and separation of the states
