AB El auge del turismo cultural ha provocado que el patrimonio esté sometido a unapresión cada vez mayor para ser adaptado a un uso turístico. Es necesario utilizar medios quepermitan, además de encontrar el equilibrio entre explotación turística y conservación delpatrimonio, mejorar el rendimiento de ambas materias. La integración de las tecnologías de lainformación aporta una gran cantidad de ventajas a procesos como la documentación, investigación, conservación, puesta en valor, difusión y puesta en uso como recurso turístico de nuestro patrimonio. Este artículo está orientado hacia la aportación que las nuevas tecnologías han hecho a laexplotación del patrimonio desde el punto de vista turístico, haciendo hincapié en aquellas técnicasque han permitido mitigar el tradicional desencuentro entre gestores turísticos y gestorespatrimoniales
AB The boom that cultural tourism is experiencing has caused heritage to be underincreasing pressure due to the need to be adapted for tourism purposes. It is necessary to use meansthat allow in addittion to find the balance between tourism exploitation and heritage conservation, to improve the performance of both subjects. The integration of information technologies brings alarge number of advantages to processes such as documentation, research, conservation, enhancement and promotion and use as a tourist resource of cultural heritage. This article is oriented towards the contribution that new technologies has made to the exploitationof cultural heritage from the tourist point of view, emphasizing those techniques that have mitigatedthe ongoing mismatch between tourism management and heritage management
