J. A1 Arenas, R. A1 Díaz García, F. AB The syn-D2 uplift of the Santiago Unit, inmediately after of the high-pressure eo-Hercynian metamorphic event, cause a markedly decompressive-slightly prograde P,T,t path. This path very likely suggests that the majority of the rising history of the unit took place in a context of ductile extension, related to the continued underplating of the continental margin of Condwana and compensating extension above. The actual disposition of the syn-D2 metamorphic zones is inverse, w ith the staurolite zone (which represents the thermal peak) occupying the top o f the unit PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 1992 FD 1992 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/14123 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/14123 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 31 may 2026
