AB El título sugerido para el presente trabajo ya ofrece un punto de partidapara abordar el tema. Uno de los elementos indiscutibles de cualquier actocomunicativo es que se da en un espacio sociocultural e históricodeterminado. En este caso el punto de vista parte desde el Sur, es decir, deciertas condiciones sociales y económicas que han dividido el mundo enregiones desiguales y no solo diferentes. Desde América Latina se percibe yse experimenta en forma distinta las relaciones con los estadounidenses yaque si bien es cierto son parte de América, son también «otra» América.
AB The tittle of this work offers a launch point to board the topic. One of the unarguable problems of any communicative act is that any determined sociocultural and historic space is given. In this case, the point of view departs from the south, that is, from certain social and economic conditions which have divided the world in unequal and not only different regions. In Latin America, relations with American people are perceived and experimented differently, since, although they are part of America, they are also the “other” America.
