AB As escavações realizadas em Monte Molião (Lagos,Algarve, Portugal), entre 2006 e 2011, permitiramdatar a sua ocupação romano-republicana entreo último terço do século II e as primeiras décadasdo século I a.n.e.A cerâmica comum que foi recuperada nestesníveis é muito significativa em termos numéricos ealgumas das suas características permitem avançardados concretos sobre os vários circuitos comerciaisque envolveram a costa sul do actual território português,durante esse período. O conjunto é constituídopor cerâmica de produção local (maioritariamentea torno), da península itálica, mas também,e sobretudo, por importações do actual territórioespanhol (baía de Cádis, Guadalquivir e costa oriental).
AB Excavations carried out at Monte Molião (Lagos,Algarve, Portugal) between 2006 and 2011 allowedto date its Roman Republican occupation betweenthe last third of the 2nd and the first decades of the1st century BCE.The common ware recovered in these levelsis quite significant and some of its features madepossible to advance new concrete data on thecommercial network that involved the PortugueseSouth coast during this phase. The set consistsof local (mainly well-made pottery) and italicproductions, but also and mainly by imports fromthe Spanish territory (Cadiz Bay, Guadalquivir andEast coast).
