AB En veinte años de la REM se han producido acontecimientos en la economíamundial importantes. Se describen los cambios más significativos quetuvieron lugar antes de esa fecha, de modo que 1999 ya se habían dado unoshechos que van a configurar la economía global en los siguientes veinte años,en los que destaca la crisis financiera de 2008. Esta crisis va a tener repercusionesimportantes en los países afectados con consecuencias negativas paralas clases medias y bajas. Los análisis teóricos que tratan de analizar las causasde esta crisis difieren. A su vez la desigualdad es uno de los grandes problemasde la economía mundial
AB Within these 20 years of REM, important events have been ocurred in theworld economy. In this paper, the most important changes before 1999 are described;they shaped the global economy of the next 20 years, with a relevantposition of the financial crisis of 2008. It had important consequences for themost affected economies, especially for middle and lower classes. There is noagreement between the theoretical analysis devoted to analyzing the causes ofthe crisis. At the same time, inequality has become one of the most importantproblems of the world economy
